AI made building easier. Focus got harder.

My ADHD brain always has another idea. AI makes it very easy to start building it.

I already have four apps I’m trying to monetize:

  • Take Dictation: you talk, it types on your Mac.
  • Overdrive Lab: an AI social media team that researches, drafts, and publishes after you approve.
  • AI Health Export: chat with and export your Apple Health data.
  • QuickSinq: bring your PayPal sales into Wave, with your approval.

While listing them on SaaS directories, I started thinking: why don’t I build one of these advertising platforms?

So I pitched Claude this idea. Claude’s response:

“You already have four apps that need buyers.”

Okay, Claude. Fair point.

I can build another thing. That doesn’t mean another thing is what these four need from me.

The easy trap is to keep adding features before anyone has had a chance to tell you whether the useful part is actually useful. AI makes that trap faster, too.

My reminder to myself: plan the next useful stage. Build it. Get people testing it, then using it. Let what I learn shape the next stage while I keep building.

If one of these apps would help you, take a look. I’d love to hear what you think.

The next idea can wait.

The same reminder, in motion. Narration uses a stock AI voice.
